Right, let's try this again!
Safety is very important for paddling, no mater what level you are at, so everyone is welcome to come along to this, it's not just reserved to experienced paddlers.
It will be held over a weekend in Wicklow, and once we have an idea of numbers I will try and organise accommodation again, which will work out cheap!
The weekend will be good craic, and weather you will just be practicing old stuff you know or learning some new stuff it still will be good, post up here if you want to take part.
This time I'm looking at the weekend before week one of semester 2 starts, so there should be no college work stopping people from taking part.

Yup count me in. Always good.
P.s Change Saftey to Safety quick, before the forum police spot it !
say what Andy? where am I supposed to change that?
Yep I'm in as well
Nothing to see here, move along, sign up for course first though
However, I will be able to go to this.
Only thing is that, as it's my first week working on INTRA I'll only be able to leave town after work, so if leaving a bit later doesn't exclude me from going put my name down!
Ciarán
This is just Saturday and Sunday, so you'll be grand there.
Bump, Disappointingly small number for this again, if you have any interest at all in kayaking, you relay should consider taking part in this.
So Far I have
1. Ken Hynes
2. Andy Cahill
3. Ashling Conway
4. Aisling Doherty
5. Ciaran O'Sullivan
6. John Judge (Possibly)
I want to try and book accommodation of some form but I cant unless I have some form numbers commitment so please add your name if you are around and can come along.
dont book me in for accodmation!!! il drive down and meet ye probably!
OK, with only 4 deffinites and geting this close to the event It's not realy practical to book acomadation. This will go ahead anyway but we will have to drive as I wont have time to orginise it a 3rd time. Will still be good practice as we can never have enough experiance or practice at this type of stuff.
Sorry guys think I could be a non-runner for this. Was doing safety for another event last month that was postponed due to bad weather, and just figured out that its this weekend coming that its back on.
That's a shame Andy, Will put up details of this later on.
Im gonna drive down do this.
Im pretty short on ropes and gear so if anyone has spares bring them on.
Oh yeah, im still missing my booties from the last club trip i was on, anyone see them?
here is a plan,
Due to lack of definite numbers I couldn't book accommodation, so for now I am going to do a one day session. Water Levels are low so the best option is probably to do a Static session at the get out of the Annamoe, where the Glenmcnass joins it. We will be going through all the basics of rescue and safety as well as practice. Most of ye are well aware of this type of stuff so we can focus on practice. Anyone who is not don't worry you can still come and learn loads.
Please bring any paddling gear and safety gear that you can.
Plan for now would be to meet at 11 in Lynams car park. Can everyone confirm a)if they are coming, and b) if they could drive & give lifts from Dublin, or if they would need lifts from Dublin.
Thanks
Ken
Brian, did you lose booties in Achill?? Cause there was a pair left in the trailer which has now vanished
Completely separate to this I'm still heading but need a lift down from dublin if anyone has seat let me know please
No, i never got them back after loaning them out on a liffey fresher trip.
I can bring people as long as another car stops by to jump start my car first
