REC 3 - First Aid Course

Recommended for everyone to do. If you have something else on drop it and do a first aid course. It's useful in so much more than just paddling situations.
It'll be on Friday evening and than all day Saturday and Sunday.
Sign up here or e-mail me at kennethhynes :at: gmail.com. Exact pricing details need to be worked out yet, but it's likely to be free or cheep for students. Cost to non Students will be about €130.
For those who already have a REC 3 but may be looking for a refresher course, still put your name down, and mention that you need a refresher. If enough people sign up to do the first one, than it may be possible to organise a refresher course separately.

Yup if im in Ireland that weekend.
Would be good if we could organise to have it in the IMC hut in wicklow or even Wild Water more realistic in the wilds, than around DCU

REC 3 cert lasts 3 years. I dont know when ye did it last. Is that the one Eanna orginised? If so by the time this comes around 2 years will have passed.

Yep still space, think its up to 13 people per course. If we exceed that we can look at having another too, dependent on numbers, for those who only need a refresher course.

This is coming up soon so I want to confirm who we have and try and get as many DCUCC members in as possible. There are 12 places and we will need to fill it so I need to know ahead of time if I need to get non members to fill it up.

That means there is 2 more place, everyone should consider this, first aid is useful to have in life, it’s not just a paddling skill worth having. Please let me know if you want in.
