And so our wild water madness contuinues, minus our noble leader and Hungarian friend Andris, but we were gaced with the presence of "Freestyle Bobby" and "Beer Brewin Doolo!!
After a very pleasent bus journey with the great celtic journeys, we moved off and headed for stackallen. Suprisingly Niamh and Lucinda got a bit nervous at the top........ and very wet at the bottom
. Niamh had managed to make it the whole way down but then be-friended a tree. Niamh, we once again remind you that TREES ARE NOT YOUR FISH. Doolo managed to get through the first wave at stackallen but was beaten by the second and followed the two girls downstream!!
Moving down the river we made it to the diagnol weir, Lucinda was again overcome by this wild water extravaganza and Doolo also came close but our excellent rescue came to save the day and stoped him from taking a wee dip. Getting bored with the river at this early stage your extreme narrator decided to make things more interesting by playing at bit at the bottom of the wier!!!! Oh and Mr tripod, thats how you impress the girls not by seeking their simpathy vote with your sore shoulder!!!
And so we pressed on, succesfully navigating the wild S-Bend and moving down towards the big A, a cold chill came down our spines as we approached this "extreme" wier, Sheer fear was all that could be felt in the atmosphere!!!! But after all this, we really showed our quality with our last swim of the trip, Niamh, losing her balance and capsizing. Soup and chocalate were in order after this and an effort to get everyone nice and cozy was made.
Moving on down and a cramp for doolo in his boat because he was so comfy and snug, as usual with our lovely boats!! But contuinuing on down the river was uneventful, your great story teller once again took the hard way down at the wier at slain but due to his canoeing excellence had no problems with this little move!!
As the trip ended it was agreed that wild water mania is due to take a break this coming weekend, but we're thinking of having a "mad water madness" weekend in somewhere a bit more challenging for the more experienced members of the club. Anyone interseted please give me a shout.

Is that a challenge? Why don't you come on up to sluice and we can see who's the best at playing?
When my shoulders better that is
Interesting way of spelling Slane there
Yeh if you're looking to organise a more experienced weekend that would be great!i'd be hopefully a definite...as long as the exams and study dont get in the way!
Lovin' these trip reports by the way
Sounds grand, shame I couldn't be there... Given the condition I was in Sunday morning, I would've been given the grand prix for the highest number of swims
Anyway, what's with next weekend?
