Club information from 29th September 2008

Hi all

Just a few short notices for this week Smiling

EGM
We will be having an EGM this Thursday at 7pm in CG04 in DCU. We will be going for a few pints afterwords in celebration of my birthday so please come along!

Birthdays
As well as being my birthday this week also sees Ashling Conway's birthday and she will be celebrating it next Friday in the Living Room off O'Connell St. round 9.30. Everyone welcome to that too!

Freshers
This week is Freshers week which means that next week hosts the Clubs and Socs days. (Tuesday 7th -Wednesday 8th) We'll be setting up a stand in the hub and if your around to help at any time, please e-mail Patrick to let him know when your available.

Freshers Wednesdays sessions.
The Freshers Wednesday sessions at WWKC are also coming up on Wednesday the 15th, 22nd and 29th of October. If your around to help please let Eoin know.

River Trip
This Sunday we'll be having our first river trip of the year. We'll be ruining the Liffey and hopefully we'll brush up on those skills we all forgot during the summer! If you want to go please let me know.

Keys
With the summer over we'll be reallocating container keys again for the winter. Will everyone please email Ciaran if they want to be considered for keys for the next term. If you do not e-mail him you will not be considered for keys. The deadline for applications is next Monday at midday.

Container fees
Anyone who wishes to store their boat in the container for the coming year must pay container fees.
They are as follows
10 euro for first boat
20 euro for second and more boats

This won't be a "once off payment", instead it will be made a yearly thing whereby if people do not pay each year, their stuff gets removed. External members are entitled to store 1 boat free of charge, as is written in the club's membership policy. Please contact Felix to arrange payment. Any boats which have not been paid for by Wednesday 15th October will be considered a kind donation to the club Sticking out tongue , Which of course we will be able to use in that days fresher session and all following river trips!.

Thanks all, apologies for the long mail.

Ken.
