The first weekend is to be run in Cork on the 22nd &\; 23rd October. There will be a river trip and a surf kayak session organised for the Cork weekend. There will be surf kayaks to try out and coaching from Aisling Griffin and Muireann Lynch.
The river trip is planned for the Lee Fields which will be a nice mellow trip but finishing up
at the sluice where anyone can have a go at some freestyle. Munster Dive and Canoe have
organised a film night for Saturday evening.
All you need is to have ICU membership. Each weekend will cost €20.

The race is 23KM lon (A little less than the Liffey!!) with 10 weirs and a few rapids along the way. There will be rescue on all the weirs. Race starts at 12 midday and entries close at 11AM. For those of you who'd like to make a weekend of it\, we will be meeting for a race after party in Carrol's Bar\, Thomastown later Saturday night.
